making a patched cushion...

we thought we would share a few pages of  'made at home' book to give you instructions on how to make a patched cushion.

we can recommend going to goldhawk road (shepherds bush) to search for wonderful fabrics. berwick street in soho (london) is also very good for fabric shopping. we love the cloth house http://www.clothhouse.com/ .

if you are looking for a haberdashery we recommend barnett and lawson http://www.bltrimmings.com/ for a wonderful array of ribbons, trims, buttons etc. there is a minimum £5 spend but it's not hard to meet that.

we would love to hear of places you recommend around the world as we know not everyone can get to london.

  1. Thanks for posting this. I bought the book last year and I loved it, but I leant it to someone on my college course and they never came back again :-( they obviously liked it too! These cushions are one of my favourites.

  2. Ah glad we could help and sorry to hear you never got your book back. Keep an eye out in the future as I'm sure we'll post more pieces from the book.
